Passcodes are case-sensitive and set by the host — ask the host to resend it. After several wrong attempts you will be asked to wait a few minutes.
For scheduled meetings, guests can enter once the scheduled window opens or the host has arrived. Sign-in is not required.
A host removed you and may also have blocked your device from that room for a while (24 hours by default). Ask the host, or try again later. If you think it was a mistake, contact us.
Allow access when the browser asks (look for the camera icon in the address bar and set it to Allow). Close other apps that use the camera, such as another meeting tab, then click the camera button once more. On Mac and Windows, also check the operating-system privacy settings for your browser.
Check that the microphone button is not crossed out, and that the correct input and output devices are selected in your system sound settings. Headphones prevent echo.
This is almost always the network. Switch to a stronger Wi-Fi, close bandwidth-heavy downloads, or turn your camera off to keep audio flowing. The meeting restores automatically when the connection returns.
Other people always see you the right way round, and so do you unless you switch on “Mirror my preview” in Settings. That option only affects your own preview and is off by default.
Cameras, microphones and screen sharing only work on https:// pages (or localhost). Use the https address of the site. If you run your own server, put it behind HTTPS.
The meeting is end-to-end encrypted. Paste the full invite link (including the part after #) or the key when asked. If video stays black, ask the host to resend the link and compare safety codes. Your browser needs to be Chrome, Edge, Safari 15.4+ or Firefox 117+.
Hosts open the AI panel in the meeting and choose a role (assistant, debate judge, minutes or transcription). If it does not join, try once more after a few seconds.
The AI uses several providers in turn and switches automatically when one is busy. If every provider is busy it recovers within a couple of minutes — try again shortly.
The assistant has to hear and read the meeting, so it cannot join an end-to-end encrypted one. Start a meeting in AI or Hybrid mode (standard encryption) if you need it.
Captions need a browser with speech recognition (Chrome and Edge work best) and microphone permission. Translation uses your browser’s built-in translator when there is one; otherwise it needs our server, which in encrypted meetings asks for your permission first. Check the language menu is set to the language you want.
Allow installs from your browser or file manager (“Install unknown apps”), then open the APK again. If it cannot connect, check the server address in the app starts with https:// and that you have internet access. See Documentation, Android app.
The Downloads page lists the Android app and the Windows and macOS desktop apps. iOS is planned for later.
Yes. Guests can join any meeting they are invited to and can start an instant meeting. Signing in adds a dashboard, scheduling with email invitations, higher limits and recordings.
Si-Des Meet supports keyboard navigation, screen readers, high-contrast light and dark themes, reduced-motion preferences, and multiple languages. If something is hard to use, tell us and we will fix it.
For behaviour in a meeting, use Report on the person inside the room; the report goes to administrators. For a security problem, use the contact form and put “Security report” in the subject. Never send us your meeting key.
When you contact us, include
- What you were trying to do and what happened instead.
- Your browser or app and its version, and your device.
- The meeting link without the part after #. That part is the encryption key: never send it to anyone you do not want in the meeting.
- A screenshot of any error message.
